*That* is where we will *not* go. It's what bind and ntpd do, and it's
a large can of different worms we do not like either :-)
And the #ifdef list for "how do I find out which interfaces exist on
this system?" is just so slightly longer than "how do I get target
addresses out of ancilliary data" :-)
