Yes you can with simpleserver ? in non-secure mode. (Copper is the clinet and 
doesn?t have support for DTLS not implements the OCF/Iotivity security 
requirements)

Copper is good, but there is a small issue: over the wire the packets are 
encoded in cbor (to keep the size down) and copper does not speak cbor. You 
need Stephane lejune's patch to enable that - should be able to find with 
search engine.
