Sorry I only see this thread now? You can just clone the repo (git at github.com:stephanesan/Copper.git) and follow the remaining instructions from the (original) README, but make sure you have the oic_dev branch checked out. Or you can get the code of that branch directly from: https://github.com/stephanesan/Copper/archive/oic_dev.zip As the app is not signed you need to set the firefox config: type about:config in firefox and set the xpinstall.signatures.required to false. After following the instructions, you should see the Copper version with the ?OIC Mode? checked in the behavior menu.
As Markus pointed out, the ip address and port are unknow in the beginning. To discover the devices just type in coap:// and hit ENTER in the location bar of firefox. Copper should start and change to location to the multicast address and CoAP port: coap://[ff05:0:0:0:0:0:0:fd]:5683/ (so no need to try to remember that url) Hit the discovery button and the discovery should start, hit discover again when you see all devices you expected to stop the discovery process. After this initial discovery, you can easily select one of the resources you see and use the other operations you see ? (trick: use CTRL when you select the resource if you want to open it in another tab) Now, you should also know that OCF recently received it?s own multicast address. So depending on which version of Iotivity you use, you may need to use a different multicast address. The new address is coap://[ff05:0:0:0:0:0:0:158]:5683/ I?ll upstream a patch shortly to change the default address ? I hope this helps, Stephane. P.S. Thanks Markus for following up on this thread! The file I sent you is actually the version of Stephane. You might also need to enable to install unsigned plugins from a file. Please try the attached plugin. There is currently no support nor any active maintainer for the modified copper plugin.
