Hello,

Very good idea to make a launcher, and if I might add, an integration of
Mumble chat system or another centralized chat system might be a big plus
to the game (because currently, there's no way one can chat with other
players prior to join in a server).

You might also be interested to look into some of the efforts that were put
into making an OpenArena launcher:
A launcher that works, but quite simple:

A discussion about launcher and some arts provided (you might want to
contact some of the graphic artists of OA, seems like they are a lot
interested by this idea): http://openarena.ws/board/index.php?topic=3568.0

Good luck for your project.

Regards,
Stephen Larroque
