*Position: SQL Engineer*

*Location: Roseland, NJ*

*Duration: 3-6 Months RTH*



*Job Summary:*

Client is one of the largest providers of business processing and
cloud-based solutions – including payroll, talent management, human
resource management, benefits administration and time and attendance – to
employers and automotive dealerships around the world. ADP builds
configurable solutions that can fit your organization's unique goals and
increase your productivity. Client is searching for a successful SQL
Engineer to join our high performance team. The successful candidate will
have a strong command of ANSI SQL, MySQL, Java, data modeling, MS Excel
APIs, Linux, FTP, REST and JSON.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Write complex ANSI SQL queries against a MySQL database

·         Create, manage and optimize views and stored procedures

·         Create and manage database tables, properties, meta data, etc.

·         Debug and manage database related issues

·         Create sample data

·         Create documentation for the development team to interact with
the database to perform transactions

·         React quickly to emerging customer requirements and technologies.
Ability to anticipate future needs and design with reusability in mind.

·         Ensure quality in the production of data assets.



*Qualifications:*

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
discipline

·         10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience
in SQL development.

·         Highly experienced in writing complex ANSI SQL queries – required

·         Strong Data modeling experience from conceptual to logical and
physical – required

·         Experience with data modeling tools, e.g. Erwin – required

·         Development experience with Java – required

·         Strong relational database knowledge/experience with MySQL v5.7+
is required

·         Strong development experience working with MS Excel Java APIs –
required

·         Knowledge of REST APIs, and JSON structures and how to parse them
– required

·         Experience working with Linux – required

·         Experience with FTP – required

·         Development experience with Node JS / JavaScript – nice to have

·         Experience with agile development is desirable

frameworks instead of point solutions

·         Passion: A need to be “passionate” about producing exceptional
solutions in a collaborative environment (e.g., Agile methodology
preferred). Must always be curious and excited to try new technologies.
