Hi all,

As there has been no further feedback since my last update, and it is 5 weeks since I first placed it Under Discussion, I would like to move ahead with voting on my RFC to Deprecate and Remove Bareword (Unquoted) Strings.

Voting will close on 2017-03-22, at 22:00 UTC, i.e. two weeks from now.

Please read and vote on the RFC at https://wiki.php.net/rfc/deprecate-bareword-strings

The voting on this RFC has now closed, and the RFC was unanimously accepted 41:0 (I'm sad that one more person didn't vote to bring it to the magic number 42...)

I have made one small amendment to the proposed wording: at Andrea's suggestion, I have capitalised the "E" of "Error" in the phrase "this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP".

Assuming this 1-bit change is not a controversial, please could someone with appropriate karma merge in the Pull Requests for php-src (https://github.com/php/php-src/pull/2404) and php-langspec (https://github.com/php/php-langspec/pull/193).

Thank you all very much for approving my first RFC, and I look forward to contributing more in future. :)

Regards,
