Excuse me, good sir, but can you tell me what the `&` symbol means? I thought it meant reference but it's also bitwise and! And when we put two of them together it is a different kind of and?!?!?! Maybe you can tell from the language I used but I don't think your argument has much merit. Symbol reuse is a problem that programmers and programming languages have been dealing with for a long time.
