The same usually applies to ~, {, }, [ and ].
I personally stopped buying non-en_US keyboards and that's it.
Basically, if you code you kinda want to use en_US layout anyway (or dvorak
if you had too much free time).
I realize that this is unfriendly to beginners, but the ~ already is part
of the syntax of the language anyway.
