Just to add some metric to that metric: "Showing 313,243 available code results" https://github.com/search?l=php&q=%22new+Exception%22&type=Code&utf8=% E2%9C%93 many of those results are irrelevant (test cases, code snippets etc.) and unfortunately GitHb search can't group forked repos but there's still a large amount of code broken for no good enough reason (my opinion) johannes
