Hi,

you don't need a wiki account or any extra karma for contributing to the
PHP Manual.
the usual process is that you start working on the docs either via sending
in svn diffs attached to bugs.php.net bugreports, or via using the online
editor at https://edit.php.net/
then after a couple of good patches you can apply for a php.net account and
get granted with doc karma, so you can push your patches for yourself
instead of asking others.
