Hey Rowan, I actually was thinking about doing this myself, if function/constant autoloading passed. That would mean that if you really needed this behaviour for some reason, you could write a constant autoloader that reimplements it.
One concern I’d have is the use of constants in constant scalar expressions. In implementation, we’d need to make sure those produce an error, not just normal constant usage. Anyway, I’m very much in favour of this. Please go ahead!
