My take is that anything that takes away efforts from getting PHP 7 to market faster is a distraction. PHP.net needs to continue to show leadership in evolving the runtime. We have a pretty great jewel in our hands. Some very good RFCs that are going to make it in. Postponing PHP 7 (which this would as we have a finite amount of resources on this list) would not be good for our users. Andi P.S. - Not interested in debating it.
