I've tried reproducing your issue, first with my test email, then with yours (the one you used to send the mail I'm replying to) and for both of those, I've got the "A request has been entered into the mailing list processing queue. You should receive an email at thru...@cubiclesoft.com shortly describing how to complete your request." message, and I got the confirmation mail to my test email.
