Some day there’s going to be a PHP 7, whether it’s the PHP NEXT we mean now or 
its successor, it can’t be helped.

(Also, it might be a stretch to call PH7 “PHP-compatible”, it has some very big 
departures from actual PHP.)

Well, PHP NEXT probably will have some massive changes in it anyway.

Surely “PHP 6” would be just as bad?
