Will it be a bit confusing to new developers? Maybe, but I don't care. It is not aimed at making the lives of new developers easy; it's designed to make the lives of those who know about it easy. In any case, this is such an enhancement that I don't think it would take very long before there would be plenty of tutorials out there to help the beginners anyway.
