The requirement hasn't, but nobody is willing to lead the task. And it's not an easy one. IMHO variable names are by far the least important part of it - I don't know of any code that can't be done using ASCII only :) > function as simply wrong. Lets just drop case insensitivity. That pretty much precludes smooth upgrade to 6.0 for existing applications. I don't see much value in it.
