What Dmitri said is more than relevant!

We see these coming back often, and would rather see a list of these
«wants» and a discussion what on that list should/shouldn't be
implemented and why.

We can all see the advantage of having such features when we come
across that "want" moment, where having such and such would solve an
immediate problem, rather than using a workaround...

But there should be a proper discussion on the usage of these
workarounds versus the broader impact and advantage (or not) in having
these as part of the core. Plus, we'd then have the go-to discussion
whenever this comes around again (as it inevitably does)...
