Could you pad out the RFC a little, it is very sparse in information
at the moment. What is the rationale behind this new feature? "A small
change to make things consistent." Consistent with what? If you want
to be consistent, where is the {$i} support (although the same can be
said for function array dereferencing with curly braces)?
I can't comment on the patch/tests as your site seems to be
unavailable at the moment.
