I think you should reconsider the way you see the whole thing. I did
remind Johannes as well while reviewing the commits. That's nice that
you did it as well as it just shows that the system worked, double
safety.

Now, about the way we do releases. Everyone agrees that is a mess, no
real plan or ability to define a clear roadmap. 5.3.1 has shown that
there is a way to solve that problem without influencing the day to
day job of the other core developers while making the release process
safer (no last minute breakage due to wild commits for example). There
is stilll a lot to do to make this process better and friendly but we
are on the right track.
