 Please forgive me for forking this thread. But my reasons are two fold:
1) Attempt to generate some valuable, and seemingly needed documentation for
php-doc(s).

2) Provide a forum for success stories and Q/A in this area (see #1).

3) Attempt to keep this topic from sneaking it's way into other threads and
annoying the original poster - dev's, are you hearing this. :)

OK that was three fold. But #1 and #2 seemed somewhat synonymous. ;)

So. If it's not clear by now, this thread is intended to help answer, and 
solicit
comments/success stories, and all things related to building/installing/running
multiple versions of PHP on one server/boxen.
