the problem would be my approach :-)

I don't need to... the current problem's bleedin' obvious :) However, that wasn't the problem 3 years ago when that ifdef was put there. It will most likely have been caused by various SAPIs loading various PHP/Zend includes in various orders, so some of them had the prerequisite define for the DL_UNLOAD call and others didn't. Dmitry's just brought the whole mess out into the open - they _all_ have it defined now.

Still waiting for that fresh checkout...
