I did *not* write ext_skel, i tried to maintain it for a short while
but gave up on that pretty soon ...
pecl-gen should be ext_skel compatible (i haven't checked this for
quite a while though)
i don't mind whether it stays or not, i haven't used it for years now
whether pecl-gen is more maintainable is quite arguable thow ;)
(although at least it does not depend on arcane tools like awk ...)
