I would once again encourage someone to take a look at Doru Pebrescu's

Other features that have been suggested are:
- authenticate a user before accepting a download
- stream the download through an encryption algorithm.
What does this have to do with the above? And what's stopping you doing
either of these already? Many people do every day...
