Expecting a software working smoothly (I mean perfectly) on both php4
and php5 is a sweet dream.

PHPDocumentor is maintained and its developers answer quickly, Greg
recently asked for tests on pear.qa, I did not see you there, did you
even try to report bugs? contact them? Anyway, this list is not a place
to discuss such problems.
