This has nothing to do with security - we are talking about entirely different things, namely code quality and robustness.

You are speaking about abusing a feature. And I tell you that I can abuse mysql_query(), fwrite(), ...

I think this should be argument enough to remove these features from PHP.

And if this is not enough argument, then I do not see your point to argue the same way about goto.
