Hello Wez, i very much dislike that idea because a mysql3 will never be working as expected. It can never support multiple statements at a time or transactions or whatnot. Thus i pretty much want something that keeps me from using it until i am pretty sure i really can live with that. A distingushing by having to add the version for the old stuff would lead to that.
