Any new release that in some situations breaks backwards compatibility will get some negative press. Ultimately, in successful products a point is reached when the software becomes stable and the advantage of new features and functionality begins to out weigh the difficulties of using it. Using the "latest and greatest" only tends to cause problems in the long run.
