Is this the commit that prompted Rob to adjust the COM extension today?
If so, we've broken binary compat within the 5.0.x series by changing the method signature; somebody needs to "fix" a whole bunch of OO extensions now.
(either that or I'm missing something)
I think you are right. Marcus, how about we only keep this in HEAD and not break API in 5.0.x?
