Please note the end-of-year holiday period that ends January 10th. It would therefore more likely be “middle of January” at the earliest.
As for the RFC itself, I'm intentionally abstaining from having an opinion (and will also Abstain in the vote itself), as this is a legal matter not a technical matter with the latter being where my main expertise lies :-)
