XMLReader is (IMHO) far superior to SAX (better support for XML standard features like namespaces and validation, twice as fast as SAX and easier to program)

I already talked about that with rob. nothing's coded right now, but would be good to have an easier way to catch xml errors in PHP 5.1 (it's unsatisfying right now)
