SQLite3 was designed with the idea that there would never be
an SQLite4. New features may be added to SQLite3 from time to
time, but there is enough flexibility built into the SQLite3
design (we hope) such that SQLite4 will never be needed. SQLite3
is intended to be the last binary incompatible version of
SQLite.
