Having secondary votes is generally frowned upon for this kind of simple RFCs. It's mostly used when there are multiple equally-valid choices (which I don't think is the case here). As the RFC author you are expected to be the subject-matter expert and should make a decision that is then voted on, rather than deciding every detail by an individual vote.
