Just to note, for the auto_detect_line_endings ini setting "These newlines were used by “Classic” Mac OS, a system which has been discontinued in 2001,". Although that OS may have been discontinued in 2001, I think later OS's had a tendency to create files in a 'compatibility mode'. I have encountered a user uploaded CSV file that had the old file endings as recently as ... 2011.
