  Anyways, it works now for me. I deleted my php_build directory, fetched
  it anew from Edin's server and rebuilt. php.exe then complained about
  a missing function entry in libmysql.dll. After deleting the one in
  c:\windows\system32\ everything worked fine. Weird.
