Matthias Lange, a co-worker of Kristian Köhntopp, asked me to propose a patch [1] to introduce a new send_headers() function.
The purpose of send_headers() is to ensure that headers were sent to the client.
He tested this patch with PHP 4.3.2 and Apache.
