I believe this is directed at you (please do correct me if I'm wrong[*]). If you didn't manage to gather support to remove the php5 alias, which you didn't, please refrain from doing it on your own. The fact you chose to hide by doing it using vi instead of using CVS illustrates that you know that it's a wrong thing to do.
