Ok, I've merged the limit fixes from this patches (but _not_ the
computation changes since imo they look fishy), with the follow-up hdmi
limit changes squashed in.

Strangely most of the diff disappeared with the squash, so please check
whether the patch on dinq is somewhat correct.
