Nope, that's the fix for the new retina macbook pro. Daniel, if you can,
please test the latest patch attached to that bug report and reply on the
bug report with the result.
Done as you have requested. Unfortunately, the screen is still black.
But there seems to be a small improvement. I see for a short time some
kernel boot message before it turns off.
