Base EDID has very little to say on the topic of colorspaces. The i915 driver is not currently capable of sending YCbCr over HDMI in any case. However HDMI comes with infoframes that are supposed to indicate the transmitted colorspace, and we may not be setting those to correctly say RGB. - ajax
