This is the behavior of the plugin. The plugin always tries to use the aspect ratio of the video to display this video.
.e.g a video is 1280x536 (1280.0/536=2.388), the window is 300x300. the rendered region calculated by this plugin is 300x125 (300.0/125=2.4), and it is aligned with the top edge of the window.
