Hi all,
We submitted two new IDs about using the IPv6 to unify all kinds of IP tunnels
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-li-rtgwg-generalized-ipv6-tunnel/ ) and
QUIC tunnel(https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-li-rtgwg-gip6-for-quic/ ).
The rationale is that IPv6 provides many enhancement features such as Alternate
Marking, IOAM, Resource Isolation, etc., which are beneficial to the tunnel. If
existing tunnels were to leverage these features, each type of tunnel header
may need to be extended. Besides, there are duplicate functions in tunnel and
IPv6 such as load balancing. So we propose a generalized IPv6 tunnel which
encapsulates both the function of existing tunnels and IPv6 features to save a
lot of duplicate work.

Looking forward to your review and comments.

Best,
Hang Shi
