Hi,

I didnĀ“t have a
"gnus summary buffer lines" format in my gnus.el file

I added that:
;;gnus summary buffer lines
(setq gnus-summary-line-format "%U%R%z%I%(%[%4L: %-23,23f%]%) %s\n")

because it is the default.

But opening gnus
there was no change in my summary buffer.
May be, because this is the default.

it looks like this:

  [ 31: Bill H ] Re: Freeze extension?
       [ 39: Alan K. ]
           [ 11: Nil ]
               [ 19: Alan K. ]
                   [ 24: Nil ]
                       [ 33: Alan K. ]
                           [ 43: Nil ]
                               [ 51: Alan K. ]
                                   [ 29: Nil ]
                                       [ 42: Alan K. ]
                                           [ 4: David ]
                       [ 33: Bill H ]
               [ 17: Bill H ]
                   [ 37: Nil ]
                       [ 47: BillH ]
               [ 18: Wilf ]
                   [ 22: Bill H ]
           [ 38: Bill H ]
       [ 39: Nil ]
           [ 45: Bill H ]
       < 24: Nil >

How can I add the date at the end of the lines,
in order to know when it was sent?

In the manual it says:
add: d for the Date in DD-MMM format.
add: o for the Date in YYYYMMDD format.
T in HHMMSS format:
What does HHMMSS format mean?

I would like the format: DD-MMM-YYYY
Is that possible?

What do I have to change in the
gnus-summary-buffer-line?
(setq gnus-summary-line-format "%U%R%z%I%(%[%4L: %-23,23f%]%) %s\n")

thanks
Gottfried
