Hi,

while being a (long time) happy gnus user, I regularly run into this
issue: when moving mails from one nnimap:... group/folder to another (w/ B-m
...),
and then syncing these folders with my remote mail server, I get mbsync
errors:

mbsync error: UID is beyond highest assigned UID

Apparently this issues is well know (to non-gnus folks), cf. for example

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39513469/mbsync-error-uid-is-beyond-highest-assigned-uid

and one of the solitions there is to use mu4e, with setting
mu4e-change-filenames-when-moving t

This is what I am doing now: I avoid moving mails from one imap folder
to another (before mbsyncing) with gnus, and instead use mu4e for such things.

Apparently mu4e is better prepared for such things. - Which is too
bad, as otherwise I 100% prefer to stay in gnus.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

-Andreas
