If you want to change the User-Agent, please use one conforming to
RFC2616 or the current drafts. For the statistics, it would be nice
if you could use the default (or remove `system' if you don't want to
expose it). See `C-h v gnus-user-agent RET'.

You probably meant "^\\(nnmaildir\\|gnu\\)\\.".
