Hello,

I am pleased to announce the release of GNU DBM Version 1.12. This
release fixes bugs encountered in the previous version 1.11 and
introduces some improvements.

Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature [*]:
  http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.12.tar.gz
  http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.12.tar.gz.sig

Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth:
  http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/gdbm/gdbm-1.12.tar.gz
  http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/gdbm/gdbm-1.12.tar.gz.sig

Here are the MD5 and SHA1 checksums:

9ce96ff4c99e74295ea19040931c8fb9 gdbm-1.12.tar.gz
86513e8871bb376bc014e9e5a2d18a8e0a8ea2f5 gdbm-1.12.tar.gz

[*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the
.sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file
and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this:

  gpg --verify gdbm-1.12.tar.gz.sig

If that command fails because you don't have the required public key,
then run this command to import it:

  gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 55D0C732

and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command.

Noteworthy change in this release:

* New configuration variable COMPATINCLUDEDIR

When used with --enable-libgdbm-compat, this variable points to the
directory where the headers file dbm.h and ndbm.h will be installed.
Use this variable to avoid conflicts with already installed headers.
E.g.:

 ./configure --enable-libgdbm-compat COMPATINCLUDEDIR=/usr/include/gdbm

Best regards,
Sergey
