I'm pleased to announce the release of GNU jwhois 4.0 which is now available from the GNU ftp server: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/jwhois/
This new release introduces the following new features: * Configurable timeout on connects * Lookup of CIDR6 blocks * Added support for Libidn for international domain names * Conversion of whois server output to local charset Additionally, updates has been made to the jwhois.conf, various bugfixes in the code. The license of GNU jwhois has also been updated to GNU General Public License 3, or (at your option) any later version.
