I was able to sort out the issue with the Case sensitivity, but the username with a dot sign is still not being allowed.
I have added two entries to the imapd.conf file and restarted the server. unixhierarchysep: yes lmtp_downcase_rcpt: yes when I try to create the account in cyradm using the command createmailbox user.gary.hogman I get this error createmailbox: Permission denied Can anyone please suggest how to sort out this mailbox creation issue.
