Hello, i hope this is the right place to ask this :-)

I've installed the cyrus-imapd-sql rpm on a stock redhat 7.0 system,
with cyrus version 1.6.24-7.

Our users fetch their mail mostly through pop3, and things are working
fine.
Mail delivery and mail fetching through pop3 or imap works correctly.

However, there seems to be a problem with outlook clients and retrieval
of mails with large attachements. The client tries to fetch the mail,
then times out. The problem is that the users mailbox is then locked,
and it will remain so for 30 minutes or more. After the lock-time has
elapsed, the client can refetch.

I realize that this probably is a client issue, but could i reduce the
lock-time or otherwise tweak the server so that the clients can refetch
faster? If so, how would i do this?

This is not a heavily loaded server, so i really suspect the problem to
be clientside.

Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.
