Dear list members, Firstly, happy Navaratri (and happy Jewish new year) to everyone.
Secondly, an Ayappa Subramanyan temple I sometimes visit in Quebec starts its Navaratri celebration tonight Sept. 23. Any explanation why its starting on Sept. 23 instead of Sept. 22? Is there any variation by tradition? Even if it was following the Panchang date for India, my understanding is the panchang date is Sept. 22 for both North America and India. Thanks, Harry Spier
