Dear colleagues, after a successful 2022 edition, I am happy to inform you that the Institute for the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia (Austrian Academy of Sciences) and the Department of South Asian, Tibetan and Buddhist Studies (University of Vienna) are organising the second Vienna Summer School on the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia. The Summer School will take place in Vienna, Austria, between 3 July 2023 and 8 July 2023. The title of the 2023 event is "Classical Sanskrit Texts on Epistemology". Please circulate this call widely. The event particularly suits students (undergraduates and graduates) willing to have first-hand contact with South Asian epistemological theories and who have an intermediate to good knowledge of śāstric Sanskrit. For those interested, the Summer School can also offer ECTS credits.
